Google Health Care Ready To Go

Google health care started today. It enables you to store your medical data online. You may record your latest blood tests, weight, height, medical disorders, medications, and allergies. You can keep a listing of the doctors you visit, but whose names you can’t remember.

From within (and from regular google too) you may search on medical conditions and for doctors. The interface is simple and easy to use. The API is published for developers. At this time, you may upload medical records and lab tests from a limited set of providers, hospitals, and labs.

Google, on their website, explains that they are not subject to the legal privacy requirements that doctors, other providers, health care institutions, and health insurers are. They have sworn to keep your records private though and compare their promised corporate policy to the HIPAA regulations at:
